Newstead is a rural settlement on the outskirts of Hamilton, best known as the home of Livestock Improvement Corporation, whose campus was established in 1951 as a combined farm, laboratory, testing facility and research centre. Around it, about 98% of the land is Waikato District Rural zone with a little Country Living, and a small part, about 4%, is zoned Large Lot Residential under the Hamilton City Council plan.
That mix gives Newstead a wide spread of homes. Houses on large-lot sections sit alongside farmhouses and their sheds on roads such as Vaile Road and Lissette Road. Roof types vary from one section to the next, and a single property can combine a tile or steel house roof with older iron on the sheds, so one visit may involve three different kinds of roof work.
Our team covers Newstead as part of Hamilton roof repairs and re-roofing, so the area is well within our usual travel. We inspect free of charge, explain the condition of each roof, and send a written quote that sets the house and outbuildings out separately.
